Quantity: 1024 m3 C & S Filter Coal
Filter Media: C & S Coal ES=1.6-1.8 mm UC=1.4 max 1500 mm deep

Silica Sand ES=0.7 mm UC=1.5 max 200 mm deep

 

This plant was the first Water Treatment Plant constructed under a Build-Own-Operate Contract in Australia, slightly before the Macarthur plant. The Yan Yean plant was also based on pilot plant testing, and uses contact filtration in 10 coarse deep bed dual media filbrs. It has a capacity of 155 ML/day.
